Industrial progress in batteries for tomorrow’s mobility

Published: 29.03.2021

Our mobility needs to become more climate-friendly in the future – and, thanks to the electrification of cars, buses and vans, this has increasingly become the case of late.

Battery development is a critical factor in this future technology. Powered by electricity from wind, sun and hydropower, tomorrow’s mobility will cause virtually no emissions. And high-performance battery cells are significantly improving the range and recharging times that users require.

Markus Scheer, member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank, talks about battery technology for tomorrow’s mobility and the bank’s performance in providing financing for this type of investment.
