Redefining Public Transport
BBC StoryWorks, UITP (International Association of Public Transport) and KfW IPEX-Bank have produced a short film together. It features the "mobility owner" concept, an innovative organisation model of public transport. The transport network VMS in Saxony, Germany, which includes the cities of Chemnitz and Leipzig, serves as an example.
In this short film Dr Harald Neuhaus, CEO of VMS, and Dr Carsten Wiebers, Global Head of Aviation, Mobility & Transport at KfW IPEX-Bank, tell you how VMS redefined public transport. It showcases what could be an example for cities and regions across the globe.
