    Transport and social infrastructure

We create liveable spaces through modern public transport and social infrastructure that promote mobility and quality of life.

We finance investments in infrastructure – both in the transport and social sectors. In our markets, we are one of the leading providers of customised financing for complex projects. Infrastructure is part of a society’s essential services, and for more than 40 years we have financed projects in the following sectors:

    • Seaports
    • Airports
    • Roads
    • Railway infrastructure
    • Education
    • Healthcare
    • Public administration

These projects are located in Germany, Europe and around the world and make a significant contribution to quality of life, mobility and well-being.

In the field of transport infrastructure, our team focuses on financing road, rail and construction projects. These are based on corporate financing and long-term project financing. This may involve the construction, expansion and repair of the infrastructure, as well as its operation and long-term maintenance.

We also finance non-European infrastructure developments with German and European investment participation and support the export sector in various projects

    • in seaport, airport and road construction.

A central aspect of our work is cooperation between the state and the private sector. Public-private partnerships (PPPs) play an important role in the financing of infrastructure projects worldwide. We finance projects in which private companies take on responsibility for the construction, operation and maintenance of public infrastructure, such as:

    • Schools
    • Hospitals
    • Public administration buildings

This cooperation facilitates the modernisation of the community and enables the public sector to concentrate on its core responsibilities.

With a clear focus on sustainable development and innovative solutions, we strive to actively co-design the future of land-based transport and social infrastructure. Through our expertise and commitment, we contribute to creating an effective and resilient infrastructure that serves the needs of society and improves people’s quality of life.
