Put course content into practice – with an internship at KfW IPEX-Bank

We don’t see internships as holiday jobs or fleeting encounters with practical work. They are a key step in your professional orientation. As a student, you will actively contribute to our team from day one and experience first-hand what it means to take responsibility for your tasks and results. You will get exclusive insights into our organisation and soon find out what opportunities the working world of an international bank can offer you after your studies, as well.

You are the one who decides: Start and duration of your internship

An internship at our company usually lasts between three and six months. Let us know what your expectations are and we’ll see if we can offer you a suitable position. You can theoretically start with us at any time of year, as the semester schedule doesn‘t matter.

What you can do and learn with us

Our internships do not adhere to standardised procedures. Instead, we try to make your time with us flexible according to your wishes and our needs.

Give us at least a rough indication of where you could imagine an internship at KfW IPEX-Bank! Do you prefer sales and market-related topics? Do you see your future in strategy development or bank mangement? Or do you prefer to look behind the scenes with detailed analyses, risk controlling or payment transactions? When we know where your journey is going and what your interests are, we can work together to find out which team you fit best into. Because nothing works around here without enthusiasm and passion for what you do during your internship.

What your application should show us

You have completed at least three semesters of a business or economics-related degree programme.
You are enrolled in a state-recognised university and have not yet passed the final exam (valid enrolment for full-time studies).
Alternatively, you are currently in the gap year between your bachelor and master studies, looking for guidance and inspiration for your choice of focus or your later career entry.
You communicate confidently when speaking and writing in German and English.
You want to convince us with your commitment and enthusiasm for our business.
Initial practical insights into the field of work you have chosen are not a must, but a plus.

Attractive remuneration
How much your internship will be paid depends on whether it is a compulsory or voluntary internship. For a compulsory internship, we pay an expense allowance of EUR 1,617; for a voluntary internship, we pay a monthly amount of EUR 2,294.
