KfW IPEX-Bank: Financing for wind farm in Ukraine
- Reconstruction of the war-affected energy sector
- Wind turbines supplied from Germany
The wind farm with a total capacity of 60 MW is located in the region of Lviv in western Ukraine. The supplier and installer of the 9 wind turbines is the renowned German manufacturer Nordex.
KfW IPEX-Bank is financing the export to the Ukrainian project company Atlas Global Energy LLC with EUR 42.3 million. The financing is guaranteed by the Turkish Eksim Group and covered by the Federal Republic of Germany through the German export credit agency Euler Hermes.
"We are proud to have provided funding for this important project despite difficult conditions,” says Dr Velibor Marjanovic, member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank. "This is largely thanks to the cooperation with our esteemed partners Atlas Global and the Eksim Group. With our joint commitment, we are making a contribution to the reconstruction of Ukraine’s energy infrastructure."
