KfW IPEX-Bank has arranged a syndicated Term Loan Facility for the state-owned Uzbek Agrobank with a total volume of EUR 200 million. Among other purposes, it is used to directly finance new or refinance existing exports from Europe to eligible corporates in Uzbekistan as well as directly finance or reimburse loans to eligible corporates undertaken in the fields of digitalisation and green technologies, including water projects.

This is KfW IPEX-Bank’s second term loan facility for Agrobank. KfW IPEX-Bank is acting as Sole Bookrunner, Facility and Paying Agent and has brought Commerzbank, DZ Bank, Kommunalkredit Austria, London Forfaiting Company Limited and Nexent Bank into the financing during the syndication process.

This financing is an example of KfW IPEX-Bank’s activities in emerging markets. Among other things, it provides banks with financing for trade transactions with European companies and for medium- and long-term refinancing of projects.
