“These changes are part of our sustainable human resources management,” commented Klaus R. Michalak, Chief Executive Officer of KfW IPEX-Bank. “Velibor Marjanovic and Alexander Jacobs, with their experience and expertise, will provide new impetus to our bank's market business. Christian Bevc and Thomas Brehler will also use their previous managerial experience in their new roles to the bank’s benefit. Together with our customers, we will initially focus on overcoming the challenges posed by the spread of COVID-19. We will also work together to strategically advance the further development of KfW IPEX-Bank.”

Thanks to its extensive industry, structuring and country expertise, KfW IPEX-Bank was able to maintain its commitment volume in 2020 at the level of previous years, at EUR 16.6 billion, despite the coronavirus crisis. All sector departments contributed equally to new business. The focus was on medium and long-term financing for emerging technologies with the aim of safeguarding the livelihoods and quality of life of future generations.
