Vantage Data Centers is building a 16 MW greenfield data center in Offenbach am Main, Germany. KfW IPEX-Bank acts as Arranger, Agent and Security Agent and underwrote the debt financing together with another bank.

The construction of the data center has already begun and is expected to be completed by 2026.

"We are excited to continue our partnership with Vantage Data Centers on this project, which underlines our commitment to advance digitalization with our financings" says Andreas Ufer, member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank. "This data center will provide important infrastructure for the growing demand for cloud services in the Rhein-Main region in the heart of Germany.”

The project is being constructed with a focus on environmental sustainability. The waste heat generated by the data center will be made available to a local energy provider, ensuring that it is being put to good use. With an industry-leading PUE (Power Usage Effectiveness), the data center is well ahead of the criteria defined by the newly established German energy efficiency act (“Energieeffizienzgesetz”).
