KfW IPEX-Bank provides Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe with fresh financing
KfW IPEX-Bank is providing Kölner Verkehrs-Betriebe (KVB) with around EUR 50 million. The company is a subsidiary of Stadtwerke Köln, the infrastructure and services company of the city of Cologne. The funds will be used for long-term financing of investments for public transport, including electric buses and infrastructure measures.
“We are delighted that we are once again able to support our customer KVB”, said Andreas Ufer, Member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank. “The transport transition requires everyone involved to adapt to the times, and we are glad to contribute our know-how as a mobility financier.”
With its financing, KfW IPEX-Bank will help make public transport a more attractive option for travellers, in so doing helping to advance the decarbonisation process in the transport sector and boost the economy in the Cologne region.
