KfW IPEX-Bank and Helaba finance energy-efficient office building for Fresenius

The health care company Fresenius is expanding its Group headquarters in Bad Homburg with a new office building which meets the KfW Efficiency House 70 standard. It is financed using KfW promotional loans. KfW IPEX-Bank, acting as arranger and syndicate leader, and Helaba are providing EUR 50 million for the construction.
With a gross floor area of 21,500 square metres and an atrium of around 800 square metres, the new building will accommodate about 600 new workstations, numerous conference rooms and an additional canteen for the Fresenius staff in Bad Homburg. At the same time, the new building demonstrates a clear commitment to the location in the Rhine-Main region. The construction work is due for completion in 2019. Altogether, Fresenius is investing around EUR 70 million at the site.
Through this financing both banks are supporting a globally active German health care company, while also contributing to environmental and climate protection in Germany.
