At Kazakhstan Investment Day, an indicative term sheet was signed between KfW IPEX-Bank and Solidcore Resources plc for a seven-year credit facility of up to USD 100 million to finance the construction of the Ertis POX project including infrastructure, equipment and engineering costs. Ertis POX is Kazakhstan’s first large-scale and high-tech full-cycle pressure oxidation plant for refractory ore processing.

“There is a great demand for more cooperation between Germany and Kazakhstan,” says Ekaterina Galitsyna. “Whether it's investing in the expansion of the Middle Corridor, tapping into Eurasia's trade potential, or Kazakhstan's role as a reliable partner for raw materials such as rare earths, the German and Kazakh economies complement each other very well. As a bank, we provide support in the form of export and project financing, which can also include export credit guarantees.”
