KfW IPEX-Bank strengthens syndications business

KfW IPEX-Bank, which is responsible for export and project finance within KfW Group, is reorganising its loan syndications department. On 1 February 2021, Christian Bevc, the long-standing Global Head of Infrastructure, took over as Global Head of Syndications and Treasury.

In view of the bank’s ambition to further expand its syndication business, the wider organisational structure is now also being adjusted:

Thomas Bernhards is taking over as Head of Syndications – Corporate and Asset-based Finance. Jointly with Stephan Pueschel, Head of Syndications – Project Finance, he will be responsible for the bank’s primary and secondary market activities. Joerg-Andreas Duerr will continue to oversee KfW IPEX-Bank’s CPRI and portfolio solutions business as Head of Syndications – CPRI and Portfolio Solutions.

The aim of this reorganisation is to reinforce KfW IPEX-Bank’s impact on the syndications market and further professionalise its advisory and sales activities for customers, while also improving its own business success. At the same time, the measure will help to expand cooperation with new and established partner banks and institutional investors.
