KfW IPEX-Bank: Further financing for wind farm projects as part of the ‘YEKA’ wind auctions in Türkiye

- Two wind farms of the independent power producer Eksim Enerji in two different regions
- Also here extensive supplies from Germany
KfW IPEX-Bank is providing further financing for the energy transition in Europe. As sole lender, it is providing EUR 69 million for the delivery, installation, commissioning and operation of two onshore wind farms as part of the YEKA-3 wind auction in Türkiye.
With a total capacity of 126 MW, the project comprises two wind farms in the Karaman and Yozgat regions. The supplier and installer of the 18 wind turbines is the renowned German manufacturer Nordex.
The financing is covered by the German government via the German export credit agency Euler Hermes. After the planned completion in spring 2026, the wind farms will supply clean electricity for around 77,000 households and thus save around 257,000 tonnes of CO₂ emissions per year.
‘We are very pleased to have won Eksim Enerji as a new customer and to accompany them with our financing,’ said Dr Velibor Marjanovic, Member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank. "Following our contribution to the financing of the wind farms in the YEKA-2 auction in October 2024, we are thus continuing to play a part in the growing market for renewable energies in Türkiye. At the same time, we are supporting one of our core customers, the German wind turbine manufacturer Nordex, in a key growth market. Once again, we are emphasising our commitment to driving forward the energy transition in Europe."
