KfW IPEX-Bank: Arrangement of a Syndicated Term Loan for Agrobank / Uzbekistan

  • Tailor-made 3-year facility
  • Refinancing of German and European exports and green technologies

KfW IPEX-Bank has arranged a syndicated Term Loan Facility for the state-owned Uzbek Agrobank with a total volume of EUR 120 million. It is used to refinance German and European exports, as well as Agrobank's green technologies, and has a tenor of three years.

KfW IPEX-Bank is acting as Sole Bookrunner and has brought two other European banks into the financing during the syndication process.

Dr Velibor Marjanovic, Member of the Management Board of KfW IPEX-Bank, says: "The facility will make it easier for small and medium-sized enterprises in particular to access a growth market and broaden their sales base. This underlines our commitment to supporting Europe's export industry."

This financing is an example of KfW IPEX-Bank’s activities in emerging markets. Among other things, it provides banks with financing for trade transactions with German and European companies and for medium- and long-term refinancing of projects.
