Green loan for railway infrastructure in Norway

KfW IPEX-Bank is providing a green loan facility for Norway’s Bane NOR Eiendom equivalent to approximately EUR 100 million. The funds are being used for investments in the extension and refurbishment of various maintenance workshops. By financing investments in supporting railway infrastructure, KfW IPEX-Bank contributes to the development of efficient public transport and thus to the decarbonisation of mobility and transport.

Financing for Berliner Fernwärme

As part of a consortium of eight banks, KfW IPEX-Bank is participating with EUR 100 million in a EUR 1 billion financing for BEW Berliner Energie und Wärme GmbH. The financing for the largest district heating network in Western Europe strengthens the basis for implementing the heat transition in Berlin.

Deutschlandnetz: green financing for high powered EV charging infrastructure

Together with other banks, KfW IPEX-Bank is providing Eliso GmbH, a subsidiary of VINCI Concessions, with a tailor-made project financing package totalling around EUR 130 million to build 828 charging stations as part of the Deutschlandnetz at more than 100 locations. This funding conforms to the Green Loan Principles in the clean transportation category and contributes to the shift to e-mobility.

Financing for innovative Finnish onshore wind farm "Pahkakoski"

KfW IPEX-Bank is participating in long-term project financing for the construction of a large onshore wind farm ("Pahkakoski") in North Ostrobothnia, Finland. Once completed, this wind farm will produce around 600 gigawatt hours (GWh) of clean and emission-free electricity per year, which corresponds to the electricity consumption of around 240,000 apartment buildings. With its wind farm portfolio, KfW IPEX Bank supports the transformation to a sustainable energy supply.
