KfW IPEX-Bank and Helaba finance energy-efficient building complex for BMW Group

BMW Campus Freimann

KfW IPEX-Bank and Helaba are financing the construction of a new administration building in northern Munich for the German premium automobile manufacturer BMW Group. KfW IPEX-Bank is providing around 60 per cent of the EUR 74 million in debt capital and Helaba around 40 per cent. The financing will support a company operating in the German export industry. In its role as syndicate leader, KfW IPEX-Bank is responsible for structuring and arranging the transaction.

Campus Freimann, as the building complex will be called in the future, complies with the KfW Efficiency Building 70 Standard and thus makes it possible to include a KfW promotional loan for financing resource-efficient and sustainable new buildings. KfW IPEX-Bank and Helaba are contributing to environmental protection and climate change mitigation in Germany with this transaction. Once completed, the administrative section of the building will provide space for more than 3,000 employees. A workshop building including a vehicle delivery centre will be built next door. The entire building complex is scheduled for completion in 2019.
